    Description

    If you own a S
chipperke dog, you will especially love "Duchess", a Beswick figurine (and a rare one) from the Beatrix Potter line of figurines.  This little charmer hold a pie, has a blue neck ribbon, and has a glossy finish.  It is 3-3/4 inches tall, and the base is 2-3/8 inches by 1-7/8 inches.
Now, a word about condition.  I don't think it has any chips, and it certainly doesn't have cracks.  But there are a few white spots on the black.  When I closely look at these, they look like areas where the overlying paint has not adhered correctly.  Anything hard enough to make frank chips would have caused more damage it seems to me.  But on the chance they might be "fleabites, I am disclosing. Spots areas follows:  on the dog's right side, one on the shoulder, one on the side of the ear (both pictured).  For what it is worth, there are two lighter black areas on the back of the ear tip and the base of that ear that may be similar spots that were painted over (not by me).  Can't see them unless you really look.
Finally, a couple of tiny white spots under the right "arm" that I didn't really even notice until I was finished writing the above.
On the dog's left side, one nearly invisible on on side of the ear, likewise back of ear top, then a larger one on base of the ear (pictured), then a small one on the shoulder (same picture) and on the curled tail.  On the front, at the base of the dog's left toe, a small white spot at the point but clearly where paint missed- it neither looks nor feels like a chip (not rough, and it is glazed over).   Same with a small area underneath the tail where nothing could have chipped the figure without causing more damage.  Anything else you see in the picture is a reflection of the light and not on the figurine.
    There is no box.
A chance to pick up a wonderful and rare figurine for a good price which,  while not "mint", has minimal issues that won't be visible on your shelf.
