Engraved Chrysanthemum Creamer Chinese Export Silver 1840
Antique Chinese Export silver creamer, having an applied top rim and hollow scroll handle. Body is decorated with an engraved blank shield with chrysanthemum flowers and a butterfly around it. c. 1840. Silver mark features Chinese characters.
This marvelous creamer is 2 3/4" in diameter at the widest, 4 5/8" from spout to handle, 4 3/8" tall and weighs 157.5 grams or 5 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
