We are most pleased to be able to offer this vintage............John F. Kennedy Rocker .....made of solid oak wood with rattan back and seat..... and upholstered in chocolate brown naugahyde.   This is an exact replica of the one that Mr. Lawrence J. Arata, official White House U
pholsterer during Kennedy's presidency, had made for JFK.  This copy is from the workshop of Mr. Arata, and it is made as close to the original as possible.  This rocker was handmade by the Aratas, at their home in McClean, Va. and even after Mr. Arata had passed away in 1979, his wife continued to make and sell these rockers.  Included with the chair are facsimile copies of various letters and newspaper articles concerning this iconic rocker and the Aratas.......even letters from Mrs. Joseph Kennedy and Edward Kennedy, thanks the Aratas for complimentary copies of the rocker.  There is even article on one that he made for the Pope.
Condition is "Used", but good.....minor fading to the finish and a slight bit of wear.....minor loss to the rattan in the back, but back is sound.   Brass ID plaque on back of chair also stapled under one arm,
