Description

Kelmar 35MM Film Exciter lamp power supply. Provides DC power for the 9volt 4 amp or 5 amp 10 volt exciter commonly used in many cinema projectors. This unit also has a common feature of a back up AC supply. Should the DC fail you can flip the switch and the reliable AC supply is on line. You will notice a bit of hum, but the show must go on.
This unit was commonly found in the Kelmar mono sound system package or it was available in a rack mount or wall mount version. I replaced the selector switch on this one put a power cord on it and a screen on the bottom so it could be set in a base or rack easily.
As you can see it powers an exciter nicely. The output voltage trim works nicely so you can run your bulb at 80% for long life. Great for the film collector running prints that are pre cyan.
