Vintage 1983 American Historical Society "The Great Americans" Living Image doll set with display base including Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Abigail Adams and George Washington. Created by master sculptor Raymond Lamb in 1983, they are scaled at 2 inches to the foot. All 4 dolls are matching #812 of the Limited Edition series of 2500. Made of bisque porcelain, detailed features with high quality clothing and accessories, Washington and Jefferson are just over 12" tall, Franklin and Adams are about 11". These have been in the original packaging since they were purchased in 1983, never displayed, removed from original packaging only for photographs, and are in excellent condition overall with only slight discoloration of the boxes from years in storage. Each doll has a biography book, inspection report, accessories and supporting documentation. Ben Franklin includes his own individual stand base, walking stick and eye glasses, Jefferson has a pistol, and Washington has a sword. The original issue price for each doll was 5.
