Description
Up for auction are these NEW, never used, sealed, vintageMARX 1776 Sons of Liberty Revolutionary War Cannon with
accessories all in a sealed bag from the factory to include
; 1-cannon, 1-cannon carrige, 1-pair of cannon wheels, 1-bucket, 2x groups of cannon balls(1-pile still on the plastic card), 1-canon ball tray and 4x-ram rods(as shown in the pictures)...all in the 1:32 scale.
These are a vintage re-cast of the famous 1960's Marx cannons that fired little canon balls, BUT these re-cast Marx cannon do not fire the projectiles(for child
safety). I believe they were re-cast in the 1980's or 1990's of a slightly less stiff plastic.
So, they are not as fragile as the 1960's production pieces.
I had purchased
these about 15-years ago(?) to go with the huge battleground, but they were never used(the war that never was).
They are cast in the classic
Metallic
Brownish-GOLD color.
You get one exactly like the one pictured, but will be in the sealed plastic baggie. So, you will need to put it together, its easy. This will be packaged in a small box to protect it during shipment.
Can be used in all periods; F&I(French and Indian/Seven-Years War), Revolutionary War/AWI American War for
Independence
),
War of 1812, American Civil War, etc.
I will place it in a small cardboard box to help protect it during transport. (Winner / purchaser choice of free 1st Class or at-cost Priority Shipping)
{{{Check out my other Toy Soldier Auctions, many more to come...}}}
I have "Armies in Plastic", "Britains", "Accurate", "A Call To Arms" in the 1:32 scale and some 1:72 scale plastic and metal soldiers.
Most of all I have is still in the box, sealed, may
a little kink or two in the box here or there and may be a little dusty and/or have some shelf wear from being on display....or may be completely flawless.
Starting bid is fixed, but make an offer to end early.
IMPORTANT NOTE: BUYERS are TAXED a sales tax
by eBay
w/out the permission of the sellers. Ebay alone has taken it upon themselves to impose a sales tax on these "electronic yard sales"(auctions).
Ebay (not us part-time sellers w/ NO storefront and most whom have full-time jobs off-line). Ebay is doing this w/out asking sellers on
behalf of
the states that are mandating it. I personally am against it as are most people selling and buying on here. This is basically an electronic yard sale. So eBayers beware as sellers can not predict what your imposed sales tax will be before the purchase. It would be whatever your individual sales tax % is in your state.
Worse yet...there is NO way for sellers to turn-off the sales tax as eBay alone controls it.
The items here have been taxed again and again and again...and the states have no part in this online auction, but will benefit form what we the little people generate. Ebay already gets paid by sellers from the various fees. That much is a trade-off, but it is absurd that our citizens are compelled to take part in it. Its not necessarily even the amount of money taken in sales tax as much is the principle of idea of them taking it from us. How many times do people have to pay taxes on the same, used items before enough is enough. I am a buyer as much as I am a seller and so I too have paid it when purchasing items. I cringe everytime, but seems a necessary evil if I want the convenience of buying things quick. However, we eBayers are consequently looking for alternative means to sell our extra items and encourage anyone else still reading this to consider the same thing. Until then...I remain your most humble selling servant. -B.
