Vintage, Game of Fox & Geese. All Wood Game pieces, Replica. Toy made by Cooperman Fife & Drum Co (ca. 2002). A Colonial game played in the American Colonies. All classes enjoyed this popular pastime. This board game is interpreted from an antique in the collection of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  The original, which was made in England dates to around 1780. Item is made of mahogany with Ivory inlay. Pegs made of ivory or wood. This set is all wood. Many were fashioned from inexpensive materials. Both square-shaped boards and hand held, paddle-shaped boards were common.
Comes with game instructions, these were popular in Taverns (Solitaire, Fox and Geese along with Variations for 13 Geese) a linen pouch to holds (37 Yellow, 1 Black) pegs when not being used. An plastic container to hold everything in.
Measurement of Board is 9.5/8 inches with handle by 61/8 inches wide. Easy to store.
